Surface/path is an exercise in discovering the potential in creating volume through point, line, and surface. Digitally created surfaces can be reverse-engineered into basic information sets that can then inform the CNC machine. In this exercise we extracted the isocurves from surfaces, which are broken down and reconnected. The physically generated volumes can then take on a continuous logic that travels through an infinitely mutational field of geometry - all of which can be read through the continuous grain of its machining path.
